Product Overview

Toluene 99.5% Specially Dried AR (CAS No. 108-88-3) is methylbenzene supplied in a specially dried form intended to reduce the amount of moisture introduced into non-aqueous analytical and preparative systems. Toluene itself is a non-polar aromatic solvent widely used for extraction, reaction media and solvent exchange, while reduced moisture can be important when water affects reagents, catalysts or moisture-sensitive equilibria.

The Specially Dried AR grade is intended for analytical and preparative procedures in which moisture introduced by the solvent affects reaction chemistry or sample integrity.
