Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Potassium Oxalate Monohydrate 99% Extra Pure (CAS No. 6487-48-5) is the monohydrate of the dipotassium salt of oxalic acid. The oxalate dianion is a bidentate oxygen-donor ligand capable of coordinating metal ions and forming sparingly soluble oxalates with selected cations, notably calcium. It also participates in redox and coordination reactions characteristic of oxalate chemistry. The monohydrate identity is part of the exact catalogue form.
The Extra Pure grade is suited to general coordination chemistry, preparation of metal oxalates, precipitation studies and routine laboratory work requiring a soluble potassium oxalate reagent.

Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed and protect from uncontrolled moisture exchange so that the defined monohydrate form and weighed composition are maintained. Prevent contamination by metal salts that can form sparingly soluble oxalates and thereby alter reagent purity or solution behaviour.
