Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Potassium Nitrite Crystals 96% AR/ACS (CAS No. 7758-09-0) is crystalline potassium nitrite, an inorganic source of nitrite ion for analytical and controlled reaction systems. Nitrite undergoes characteristic diazotisation, nitrosation and redox chemistry and may be quantified or used as a reagent through spectrophotometric and other conventional analytical procedures. The crystalline designation identifies the physical form of this catalogue entry without implying a different chemical identity.
The AR/ACS grade is intended for analytical reagent preparation, non-certified nitrite working solutions, method development and laboratory QC.

Storage Conditions
Store the crystals tightly closed and dry, minimising prolonged atmospheric exposure and contamination. Use clean dispensing tools for analytical work so that extraneous nitrate, oxidants, reductants or other ionic contaminants do not alter reagent blanks or nitrite response.
