Product Overview

Potassium Metavanadate 98% Extra Pure (CAS No. 13769-43-2) is an inorganic vanadium(V) salt containing the metavanadate oxyanion. Vanadium(V) oxyanions display pH- and concentration-dependent condensation and coordination behaviour, allowing metavanadate to serve as a useful precursor for oxovanadium compounds, coordination complexes and vanadium-containing materials. The submitted identity corresponds to potassium metavanadate rather than another potassium vanadate stoichiometry.

The Extra Pure grade is intended for inorganic synthesis, coordination chemistry and materials-oriented research requiring a source of vanadium in the +5 oxidation state. Potassium metavanadate is useful as a starting material for preparation of oxovanadium(V) complexes and other vanadate-containing systems.
