Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Nitric Acid 69% AR/ACS (CAS No. 7697-37-2) is a concentrated aqueous mineral acid with pronounced oxidising and proton-donating behaviour. It supports acid digestion, oxidation–reduction reactions, nitrate formation, and dissolution of compatible metals and inorganic materials, making it an important reagent in classical analytical and preparative chemistry.
The AR/ACS grade is intended for analytical reagent preparation, quality-control testing, research, and laboratory procedures requiring controlled acid strength and restricted reagent-derived impurities. It is also relevant to precious-metal purification: nitric acid can selectively remove silver and certain base metals from suitably prepared gold alloys, while its combination with hydrochloric acid in aqua regia enables the dissolution and refining of gold.

Storage Conditions
Store in the original, tightly closed, chemically compatible container in a cool and well-ventilated location. Protect the solution from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and contamination. Keep it in dedicated acid storage, appropriately segregated from incompatible materials, and reseal the container promptly after dispensing to preserve concentration and reagent quality.
