Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
iso-Propyl Alcohol 99.5% AR (CAS No. 67-63-0) is 2-propanol, a secondary aliphatic alcohol combining protic solvent behaviour with complete structural distinction from its primary-alcohol isomer, 1-propanol. Its hydroxyl group enables hydrogen bonding and broad miscibility with many common laboratory solvents, while its moderate polarity makes it useful for dissolution, extraction, washing and solvent-composition adjustment in conventional analytical work.
The AR grade is intended for routine analytical reagent preparation, sample handling, extraction and wet-chemical laboratory procedures requiring reagent-grade isopropanol.

Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed to limit evaporation, moisture uptake and contamination during repeated analytical use. Minimise prolonged exposure to air and avoid concentrating aged material without appropriate consideration of possible peroxide formation.
