Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Dichloromethane 99% For Synthesis (CAS No. 75-09-2) is a one-carbon chlorinated solvent also known as methylene chloride. Its polarizable structure provides useful solvating power for many organic compounds despite limited water miscibility, while its comparatively low boiling point supports rapid solvent removal and efficient exchange during multistep synthetic work.
The Synthesis grade is intended for preparative organic chemistry, extraction, reaction work-up and materials processing requiring a volatile chlorinated solvent of defined catalogue purity.

Storage Conditions
Store in a tightly closed container protected from excessive heat, prolonged air and moisture exposure, evaporation and contamination. Promptly reclose after use and minimise unnecessary headspace exchange to preserve solvent composition and reduce loss of this highly volatile chlorinated liquid.
