Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Benzene 99% Extra Pure (CAS No. 71-43-2) is the parent monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, consisting of a planar six-membered carbon ring with a delocalised π-electron system. This aromatic stabilisation distinguishes benzene from ordinary cyclic polyenes and governs its characteristic preference for substitution reactions that retain the conjugated ring. Its structurally symmetrical aromatic framework makes benzene an important starting substrate and model compound in organic and physical chemistry.
The Extra Pure grade is intended for routine organic synthesis, reaction-development work, solvent-based laboratory procedures, and general research requiring benzene of defined assay. It is suitable for controlled electrophilic aromatic substitution, preparation of substituted benzene intermediates, and investigations of aromatic reactivity, solvent effects, molecular interactions, and related physicochemical behaviour.
