Detailed information about the product
Product Overview
Acrylamide 98% For Synthesis (CAS No. 79-06-1) is an unsaturated primary amide in which a polymerisable carbon–carbon double bond is conjugated with an amide group. This combination gives acrylamide the reactivity of a vinyl monomer together with the polar character associated with the amide functionality. It is therefore an important building block in polymer chemistry and in the preparation of acrylamide-based materials with tailored structural and functional properties.
The Synthesis grade is intended for preparative chemistry, polymerisation studies, reaction development, and research work in which acrylamide is used as a monomer or synthetic intermediate. Its 98% assay makes it suitable for routine laboratory synthesis and material-development procedures requiring consistent starting-material quality. Acrylamide is commercially classified among polymerisation monomers and is supplied specifically for synthesis applications.
Typical Applications
Acrylamide is primarily used as a monomer for producing polyacrylamide and acrylamide copolymers, which form the basis of numerous functional polymer systems.

Storage Conditions
Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dark, and well-ventilated place. Protect from light, heat, air exposure, incompatible substances, and contamination that may initiate polymerisation. Keep the container securely sealed after dispensing and follow the temperature conditions stated on the approved product label or specification.
