Sodium Hydroxide Pellets 97% Extra Pure (CAS No. 1310-73-2) is a strongly alkaline sodium hydroxide reagent supplied in pellet form. On dissolution, it provides hydroxide ions for neutralisation, hydrolysis and base-mediated transformations. Sodium hydroxide is hygroscopic and reacts with atmospheric carbon dioxide, so the composition of exposed solid can change progressively even though the underlying chemical identity remains sodium hydroxide.

The Extra Pure grade is intended for routine preparation of alkaline solutions, synthesis and general laboratory processing. The pellet form supports convenient handling and portioning.
