Product Overview

Potassium Dichromate 99.5% Extra Pure (CAS No. 7778-50-9) is an inorganic chromium(VI) salt containing the dichromate oxyanion. Dichromate participates in chromate–dichromate equilibria dependent on solution conditions and acts as a strong electron-accepting oxidant, particularly in acidic media, where chromium(VI) can be reduced to lower oxidation states. This well-defined redox chemistry underlies the compound’s extensive use as an oxidising reagent in laboratory chemistry.

Storage Conditions
